FBI Media Alert: Woman Robs Bank in Aztec, New Mexico

A woman wearing a large white sun hat and sunglasses robbed the Four Corners Community Bank in Aztec on Friday, October 9, 2015.

The suspect is described a Hispanic female, approximately 40-45 years old, about 5’0” tall, with a medium build.

She wore a large white sun hat, sunglasses, a long-sleeved navy blue sweatshirt, and white pants.

Witnesses said the suspect at approximately 11:45 a.m. entered the bank located at 1301 W. Aztec Blvd. and gave a teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
