Armed Man Robs Albuquerque Bank

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a man who used a gun to rob the Washington Federal branch at 1301 Wyoming Blvd. NE at approximately 1:44 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015.

The suspect is described as between 30 and 40 years old and approximately 5’8” tall.

He wore a white and blue polo shirt and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a torn sleeve. He had a covering over his face.

The suspect entered the bank and displayed a handgun. He demanded money from a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

Surveillance video showed he left in a white GMC Yukon SUV with a teal New Mexico license plate that started with the numbers 77.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
