Western Commerce Bank Robbed in Albuquerque

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a man who robbed Western Commerce Bank branch located at 1910 Wyoming Blvd. NE in Albuquerque on Thursday, December 11, 2014.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’6” tall, with a beard and mustache.

He wore a two-tone baseball cap with a logo on front, dark blue or black overalls, gloves, and eyeglasses.

 

Witnesses said the suspect entered the bank at approximately 1:20 p.m. and displayed a handgun as he gave a teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who was last seen walking east.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
