Two Men Sought In Albuquerque Bank Robbery

Two men robbed the BBVA Compass bank located at 7530 Montgomery Blvd NE in Albuquerque on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.

The suspects were described as approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall with a medium build.

Both wore black masks that covered their faces and wore gloves and white shoes.

One suspect wore greenish blue sweat pants and a dark gray or black overcoat, while the other had jeans and a gray overcoat, and he may have been Hispanic or white.


The robbers entered the bank at approximately 9:10 a.m., when no customers were present.

One went to the teller counter and displayed a handgun. The other ordered employees in an office to get on the ground.

The suspect with the gun demanded money from a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects left the bank.

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are investigating this robbery.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
