An armed man wearing tan work gloves robbed the New Mexico Bank & Trust branch located at 3002 Louisiana Blvd. NE in Albuquerque on Friday, December 12, 2014.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 40s to early 50s, approximately 5’4” tall, with a medium-to-heavy build. He had a short, scraggly beard.

The suspect wore a black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, a baseball cap, silver-framed sunglasses with a yellow or orange tint, jeans, tan work gloves, and tan boots.

Witnesses said the suspect entered the bank at approximately 10:06 a.m., gave a teller a note demanding money, and displayed a black handgun.

The suspect also verbally demanded money and gave the teller a black, cube-shaped bag.

The teller put an undisclosed amount of money in the bag, which the suspect took and left the bank.

The suspect was seen walking west on Candelaria Road NE and may have gotten into a vehicle that headed south on Louisiana Boulevard NE.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber.
