The FBI and local law enforcement are asking for the public’s help in solving bank robberies that occurred during August this year and last year.

Two unsolved bank robberies occurred this year in Albuquerque and the other in 2013 in Santa Fe.

August 22, 2014:

Wells Fargo at 8100 Wyoming Blvd NE in Albuquerque

Both suspects are identified as white males. One of the men is described as approximately 50 years old, about 5’9” tall, with a medium build. He wore a blue baseball cap with white stars on the bill and red and white stripes around the outer edge of the bill, a black fleece jacket, light-colored blue jeans, white surgical gloves, and white sneakers. His face was covered either by a mask or make-up that depicted stitches across the lower part of his face, similar to a Frankenstein monster disguise. The other suspect was approximately 30 years old, about 5’8” tall, with a slender build. He wore a black baseball cap, a black jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers. Both men displayed handguns.

August 19, 2014:

BBVA Compass Bank at 6001 Academy Road NE in Albuquerque

The suspects are described as black males in their mid- to late 20s, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall (although one may be slightly shorter than the other), with medium to stocky builds. Both men wore gray hooded sweatshirts, white sneakers, and dark bandanas that covered part of their faces. One of the suspects appeared to have green or light-colored eyes and a pockmark or similar scar below his left eye. He wore dark pants. The other suspect wore gray pants. Both men displayed gray or black semi-automatic handguns.

August 9, 2013:

New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union at 1710 St. Michael’s Drive in Santa Fe

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’11” tall, with a dark complexion, brown or black short hair, light facial hair, and a small white mark on his left cheek just under his eye. He wore a long-sleeved, dark shirt, and a black baseball cap with sunglasses on top of them.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber.
