Albuquerque Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in Phoenix

James Patrick Verdream, 47, of Albuquerque, has been arrested in connection with the robbery of New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union at 6501 Indian School Road NE in Albuquerque on April 22, 2014.

U.S. Marshals arrested Verdream in the Phoenix area on Monday, May 5, 2014.

Verdream is expected to be returned to Albuquerque soon.

The Probation and Parole Division of the New Mexico Corrections Department assisted with the investigation.

On April 25, 2014, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Verdream by the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico after he was charged with bank robbery.

Witnesses said a man walked into the credit union and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank.

The public is reminded that all persons are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
