Two Arrested After Albuquerque Bank Robbery

Two Albuquerque residents have been arrested in connection with the robbery Saturday, April 20, 2013 robbery of the Bank of the West branch at 1422 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque.

Anthony Paloni, 50, and Daisy Alaniz, 26, are expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Monday.

Witnesses say a woman entered the bank at approximately 9:12 a.m., put a bag on the counter, and demanded money from a teller.

The teller gave an undisclosed amount of money to the woman, who fled the bank.

Albuquerque Police arrested Alaniz and Paloni at a truck stop a short time later.

No further details will be released until after the court hearing.

The public is reminded that those arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
