Robbery of New Mexico Bank and Trust in Clovis

The FBI and Clovis Police Department are looking for a man who robbed a New Mexico Bank and Trust branch in Clovis, New Mexico, on Thursday, March 28, 2013.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, possibly in his 20s, with medium height and a slim build.

He wore a green hooded sweatshirt, and his face was covered.

Witnesses say the suspect entered the bank on 2200 N. Main St. at approximately 11 a.m. and demanded money.

A teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who fled east on foot.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense, and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction.
