Arrest Made in Bernalillo Bank Robbery

Curtis James Reano, 34, an enrolled member of the San Felipe Pueblo, was arrested February 20, 2013, in connection with the robbery of a Wells Fargo branch at 239 Highway 550 in Bernalillo on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

Reano is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque today. No further details will be released until after the court hearing.

The U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bernalillo Police Department, and Kewa (Santo Domingo) Tribal Police assisted in the investigation.

Witnesses say a man walked into the bank and handed a teller a note that demanded money. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
