Albuquerque Armed Bank Robbery

The FBI and Albuquerque police are investigating the armed robbery of the Wells Fargo branch at 156 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE near Central Avenue SE on Monday morning.

Witnesses say a Hispanic male wearing a black ski or nylon mask entered the bank with a handgun at about 9:37 a.m. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was injured.

The subject is described as about 5’9” tall with a thin build. He is in his late 20s to early 30s and wore a black jacket, gray fishing-style cap with a full brim, gray sweat pants, gray shirt, and white tennis shoes.

The robber is believed to have fled in a black Honda Civic, 2004-2006 model.

Authorities are investigating whether the subject may have been responsible for other bank robberies.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject.
