Albuquerque Bank Robbed

The FBI and Albuquerque Police are investigating the robbery of a BBVA Compass Bank that occurred this afternoon.

A man described as white or Hispanic, 25-30 years old, walked into the bank at 1201 San Pedro Drive NE, at about 2:50 p.m. He showed a teller a note that implied he had a weapon.

The robber left with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No one was injured.

He is described as about 5’4” tall, medium build, with light brown, short hair. He wore a black baseball-style cap with white logo, a black jacket, a black and red flannel shirt, dark gloves, blue jeans, and sunglasses.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Albuquerque Police Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP.
