A man who apparently committed suicide after he allegedly robbed a New Mexico Bank and Trust branch has been identified as Eric Soto, 25.

Albuquerque Police say they found Soto dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his silver Dodge pick-up truck shortly after the 11:46 a.m. Wednesday robbery.

Witnesses say a white or Hispanic man wearing a mesh hood over his head entered the bank at 9500 Montgomery Blvd. N.E.

The man, who also was wearing dark clothing and gloves, ordered employees to get on the ground and told two tellers to give him money.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Police pursued the suspect into a residential area.
Witnesses did not report seeing a weapon at the bank.
