VERA/VSIP FY2015 Program
Announcement of Authority
On October 25, 2013, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) approved the FBI’s request to exercise the voluntary early retirement authority (VERA) and voluntary separation incentive payments (VSIP). This two-year authority grants the FBI the opportunity to offer these programs to a limited number of General Schedule and Federal Wage System professional staff positions at Headquarters.
Please note that the FBI’s VERA/VSIP program is voluntary; absolutely no employees will be involuntarily retired. Eligible employees will be notified via e-mail on October 14, 2014, with a formal letter to follow. The FY15 VERA/VSIP Intranet site contains comprehensive program information including schedules for retirement information/counseling sessions.
All employees should direct questions about the VERA/VSIP program to the HRD Call Center at (202) 324-3333.
