FBI Director James Comey presents New Orleans Division recipient Dr. Earnest L. Johnson with the Director’s Community Leadership Award (DCLA) at a ceremony at FBI Headquarters on April 28, 2017.

The New Orleans Division honors Dr. Earnest L. Johnson, an ordained minister and senior pastor of Windows of Heaven Ministry in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since 1995, Dr. Johnson has volunteered his time as president of the Louisiana State Conference of the NAACP. He has worked diligently in Baton Rouge and with the NAACP branches throughout Louisiana to help the FBI bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community.

FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders

In a ceremony at FBI Headquarters on April 28, 2017, Director James B. Comey recognized the recipients of the 2016 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.

“This year’s honorees have distinguished themselves in remarkable ways through their hard work, their leadership, and their strength of character," said Director Comey. “Time and again, today's award recipients have put others before themselves.”
