FBI Director James Comey presents Kansas City Division recipient Judy Overton with the Director’s Community Leadership Award (DCLA) at a ceremony at FBI Headquarters on April 28, 2017.

The Kansas City Division honors Judy Overton for her work as a board member on more than 30 philanthropic organizations. Among her numerous efforts, she supports youth and educational programs through her involvement in the Third and Long Foundation. She has encouraged the Kansas City Division Citizens Academy Alumni Association and the FBI to engage with the foundation and its programs, providing an avenue to building relationships with ethic and minority groups.

FBI Director Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders

In a ceremony at FBI Headquarters on April 28, 2017, Director James B. Comey recognized the recipients of the 2016 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.

“This year’s honorees have distinguished themselves in remarkable ways through their hard work, their leadership, and their strength of character," said Director Comey. “Time and again, today's award recipients have put others before themselves.”
