The New York Division honors David Gold, founder and chairman of For Our Heroes Benefit Fund, a charity that has funded programs for numerous federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

In 2013, Mr. Gold used his position and connections as a senior equity analyst at Sidoti & Company to facilitate and fund an ongoing speaker series for agents working white-collar crimes. Focusing on topics like hedge funds and due diligence, agents have the opportunity to learn from top Wall Street executives. Investigators stay apprised of new crime trends and have established relationships with the best in Wall Street. Continuing his support of the division, in 2013, Mr. Gold also sponsored the first FBI New York Teen Academy, which included 113 participants representing multiple schools.

Furthering his support of law enforcement, Mr. Gold personally sponsors a holiday party for the widows and orphans of fallen New York Police Department officers. In addition, he raises funds and procures donations to provide these families with necessary goods and toys for the children. As the scholarship chairman for two separate non-profit organizations, Mr. Gold raises funds and awards scholarships to first responders and their children.
