The Kansas City Division is pleased to honor Mr. Marvin Szneler, the executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Bureau/American Jewish Committee (JCRB/AJC). Mr. Szneler works to establish and maintain relationships with religious and community groups, government officials, law enforcement, educators, and the media. Through his efforts, he has become a leading advocate for security within the Jewish community. Mr. Szneler has coordinated seminars featuring Israeli anti-terrorism experts so local law enforcement may better understand the communities they serve. Mr. Szneler is a member of the Overland Park Civil Service Commission and is a proud graduate of Kansas City’s first FBI Citizens Academy. He works to maintain the relationship between the FBI and community and religious groups by inviting the FBI to participate in JCRB/AJC events. An invaluable resource to law enforcement, Mr. Szneler has enhanced the Kansas City FBI’s ability to work with local community and business leaders.
