Director of Toxicology
— Salary: Commensurate with qualifications

Qualifications include the following:

  • PhD in toxicology, pharmacology, or biological or chemical science is preferred but not required
  • At least ten years' experience in toxicology, criminalistics, public health, or general toxicology
  • At least two years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a major forensic toxicology program
  • Board certified or eligible in forensic toxicology

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Directing staff and scientific laboratory operations
  • Researching new methodology
  • Reviewing laboratory findings
  • Implementing techniques to examine evidence
  • Serving as an expert witness on relevant issues in court cases
  • Responding to queries regarding drug effects
