Figure 2: Standard deviations for each allele of 50 Profiler Plus™ allelic ladder injections sized with GS-500 (¨) and 50 sized with 400HD (¨). The allele sizes from each locus are plotted in ascending order. Some allele sizes overlap and are differentiated by different dye labels (FAM, JOE, NED). Sizing was performed with the Local Southern sizing algorithm in the GeneScanâ Analysis software. The GS-500 coinjected allelic ladders were additionally sized with the exclusion of the 340-base standard (-). Standard deviation values are as high as 0.29 bases with GS-500 and Local Southern (¨).
