Arrests, by Age, 2011

  • In 2011, 88.2 percent of all individuals arrested were adults (18 years of age and over).
  • Adults comprised 87.3 percent of the arrests for violent crimes and 79.6 percent of the arrests for property crimes.
  • More than 90 percent (90.4) of persons arrested for drug abuse violations were adults.
  • In 2011, 41.3 percent of persons arrested for arson were juveniles.  More than half (57.0 percent) of juveniles arrested for arson were under age 15.
  • Persons between the ages of 25-29 accounted for 14.9 percent of all arrests made in 2011.
