Mr. Schiff: Hi. This is “Wanted by the FBI” from the FBI. A prolific bank robber is roaming the country. Special Agent Jim Gale of the Knoxville, Tennessee, FBI office is one of many agents and police officers on the hunt for Chad Earl Schaffner.

Mr. Gale: “We were able to identify Schaffner as the result of several leads, many of which can be directly attributed to the use of the digital billboard campaign.”

Mr. Schiff: Gale says that Schaffner may have held up 11 banks.

Mr. Gale: “North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and now most recently in Indiana.”

Mr. Schiff: Gale says Schaffner is armed and that he’s a 37-year-old white male, 6’, 175 lbs with a lot of tattoos.

Mr. Gale: “A heart on his left chest; a cross and dot on his upper left arm; an Indianapolis Colts symbol on his upper right arm; a wizard and skull on his lower left arm; a dragon on his lower right arm.”

Mr. Schiff: The wanted flyer for Chad Schaffner is on the Internet at FBI.gov. That’s “Wanted by the FBI” for this week. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau’s Office of Public Affairs.
