Mr. Schiff: Hi. This is “Wanted by the FBI” from the FBI. A former police officer and some others stole drugs and then resold the stuff. That’s the story about a man hunted by police and the FBI.
Mr. Crocker: “The fugitive’s name is Eddie Hicks. Hicks has also been known to use the name of Clarence Jenkins.”
Mr. Schiff: That’s Special Agent Chris Crocker with the FBI in Chicago.
Mr. Crocker: “Hicks is facing narcotics and racketeering charges.”
Mr. Schiff: Crocker says Hicks and four others pretended they were with the Drug Enforcement Administration, carrying fake search warrants to drug dealers’ homes.
Mr. Crocker: “They would seize the drugs and any money under the guise of working with the DEA, when in reality all they were doing was stealing the money and reselling the drugs.”
Mr. Schiff: One former cop is serving 18 years in prison; three others have served their time. Crocker says that Hicks is a 5’9”, 60-year-old black male from Chicago.
Mr. Crocker: “And weighs around 165 pounds. He has black and gray hair, brown eyes, a medium build, and he wears eyeglasses.”
Mr. Schiff: Help find Eddie Hicks, the bad ex-cop. His wanted flyer is posted at
FBI.gov. That’s “Wanted by the FBI” for this week. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau’s Office of Public Affairs.
