Press Room: Wanted by the FBI

Wanted by the FBI

“Cynthya Rodriguez and Arturo De Oca”, 07/07/09

Mr. Schiff: Hi. This is “Wanted by the FBI” from the FBI. Kidnapping, murder, and two fugitives. Special Agent Mark Enyeart of the FBI’s Los Angeles office is working with local police on the case.

Mr. Enyeart: “Mr. Orlando Duarte, age 45, was kidnapped from his residence.”

Mr. Schiff: This was in Corona, California in March of last year. Duarte’s girlfriend, Cynthya Janeth Rodriguez, and her brother-in-law, Arturo Montes De Oca, are wanted for murder. Enyeart says the victim’s car was found near De Oca’s apartment.

Mr. Enyeart: “There was blood found in the car, which led us to believe that foul play had occurred.”

Mr. Schiff: Enyeart says that Duarte’s body was found buried about five feet underground.

Mr. Enyeart: “There’s a fence, maybe 10 feet from, 10 feet west of the front door. They took the body over the fence and buried it in an adjacent field, and it was hidden from view by a double-wide mobile home.”

Mr. Schiff: You may be able to help locate Rodriguez and De Oca. Wanted flyers are on the Internet at FBI.gov. That’s “Wanted by the FBI” for this week. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau’s Office of Public Affairs.
