Mr. Schiff: Hi, this is Wanted by the FBI. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau, and this week we spotlight our “Top Ten” list. It began in March of 1950. Special Agent Brad Bryant is Chief of the Violent Crimes Unit. He says that a year earlier, a reporter asked the FBI who the ten toughest guys are that they’re looking for.

Mr. Bryant: “It became such a big hit for the FBI that Director Hoover decided to make it a permanent program.”

Mr. Schiff: The Top Ten list has featured bank robbers, car thieves, kidnappers, spies, activists, organized crime members, and serial killers. Come the 90s, Bryant says the list hit the international scene.

Mr. Bryant: “Large drug trafficking cartels, international money laundering, as well as crimes against children, and of course international terrorism.”

Mr. Schiff: Bryant has a message for the bad guys.

Mr. Bryant: “We’re not stopping until we find you.”

Mr. Schiff: You may be able to help find a fugitive. Check the Internet at fbi.gov to see the Top Ten. That’s Wanted by the FBI for this week. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau’s Office of Public Affairs.
