On March 3, 2012, unidentified male remains were located in a wooded area in Newton, Illinois, which is south of Interstate 70 in southeastern Illinois. The remains were scattered and had been at the location for an unknown amount of time. Anthropological examination determined the subject to be 5'3" to 5'8" tall, and 35 to 50 years of age.
