The offenders are a father and son from Florida. The father was a long-haul trucker who sometimes
took his son with him on trips. The following details have been alleged by the victim, and while one
subject has pled guilty, the other awaits trial. In the late hours of 6/28/2003, the son approached the
victim, a 20 year old white female, in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Mountain Home, ID, and requested a
ride. Once inside her vehicle, the son pulled a knife, held it to the victim’s throat, bound her hands with
duct tape, and placed duct tape over her eyes. He then placed the victim in the front passenger seat and
drove to where his father was waiting at his semi truck five miles away. The father took the victim from
her vehicle and placed her in the sleeper portion of his truck, then began driving west on Interstate 84.
As they drove, the offenders periodically pulled over and sexually assaulted the victim, threatening to
kill the victim and her family if she reported the incident to police. Five hours later, the victim was
dropped off along the interstate, 70 miles from where the offenders originally abducted her.
As the father’s occupation necessitated nationwide travel, investigators believe that he may be
responsible for other sexual assaults across the country. He may have acted alone or again with his son.
