The FBI is seeking information regarding the person or persons responsible for a series of pipe bombs that were set off in northeast Albuquerque from October 2013 to March 2014. Three bombs were detonated in city parks, another was detonated in a parking lot, and the fifth was detonated behind a business. All of the pipe bombs were placed in or near trash receptacles, though no injuries or substantial property damage has occurred.

Two vehicles matching the following descriptions were seen in the vicinity of the bombs: a silver, two-door sports-type vehicle with a spoiler and a turquoise-colored New Mexico license plate on the back; and a white, 1990s model four-door sedan.


The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the crimes listed above.

The sunglasses in the photographs above were recovered at the scene of one of the bombs.
