Law enforcement authorities are seeking an unidentified male who is responsible for a series of violent crimes near the intersection of Interstate 20 and US Highway 25 in North Augusta, South Carolina. On Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the suspect attempted to carjack a woman, but she was able to drive away. However, as the victim drove away, the suspect shot at the victim five times hitting her twice. The suspect then went to the parking lot of a nearby restaurant and shot two other victims, one fatally. The suspect attempted to take the deceased victim's truck, but did not have the right key and left the area. The suspect went to another parking lot and successfully carjacked a woman who was not physically harmed. That same day, the victim's car was recovered less than a mile from the first shooting.
The suspect may have been armed with either a SKS or an AK-47 type assault rifle, and used "Wolf" brand 7.62x39mm ammunition. The suspect is described as a White male, 20 to 25 years old, 5'5" to 5'9" tall, and 160 to 170 pounds.
