Eduardo Higuera-Sanchez is wanted for his alleged involvement as the leader of a drug trafficking organization in central Oklahoma. As a result of an investigation, multiple search warrants were executed in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, metro area on December 1, 2011. Over 40 pounds of cocaine, eight pounds of methamphetamine, and over $40,000 in cash were located. Higuera-Sanchez allegedly fled the United States prior to the service of the warrants, after becoming aware of the investigation.
On November 30, 2011, a warrant was issued for Higuera-Sanchez in the District Court of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, for trafficking controlled and dangerous substances and use of a telecommunications device to facilitate a criminal act. On December 13, 2011, a federal arrest warrant was obtained for Higuera-Sanchez in the United States District Court, Western District of Oklahoma, for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Higuera-Sanchez may living in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico; Phoenix, Arizona, or the greater Los Angeles, California, area. He has also been linked to the Sinaloa drug cartel.
