Jakym Tibbs is wanted for his alleged involvement in a kidnapping in North Carolina. On April 5, 2014, the victim, Frank Janssen, was taken from his home in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and transported to an apartment in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was held against his will. On April 9, 2014, Janssen was rescued safely in Georgia. Tibbs remains at large.
On April 11, 2014, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Tibbs by the United States District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina, after he was charged federally with kidnapping.
