  • In the Nation’s suburban areas, persons under the age of 25 accounted for 45.4 percent of those arrested for all offense categories, 44.8 percent of the persons arrested for violent crime, and 55.5 percent of the people arrested for property crime.
  • Individuals under 21 years of age accounted for 49.5 percent of all persons arrested for robbery and 26.5 percent of those arrested for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter in suburban areas.
  • Juveniles under 15 years of age comprised 28.1 percent of all arrests for arson offenses in suburban areas.
