  • The number of arrests reported in metropolitan counties in 2006 increased 0.7 percent when compared with the 2005 data.
  • Arrests of juveniles in metropolitan counties increased 2.4 percent.
  • The number of arrests of adults in metropolitan counties increased 0.5 percent in 2006 when compared with the 2005 data.
  • The number of violent crime arrests reported in metropolitan counties increased 0.7 percent.
  • Arrests of juveniles for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter in metropolitan counties increased 12.3 percent.
  • Arrests of juveniles for robbery offenses increased 16.5 percent in metropolitan counties.
  • The number of arrests made for property crime in metropolitan counties decreased 3.1 percent in 2006 when compared with 2005 data.
  • The number of arrests made for drug abuse violations in metropolitan counties increased 1.9 percent.
  • Arrests of adults for drug abuse violations increased 1.8 percent in metropolitan counties in 2006. Arrests of juveniles for drug abuse violations increased 2.0 percent.
