St. Charles County Man Sentenced for Sending Threats

ST. LOUIS—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that a St. Charles County man has been sentenced to 41 months in prison on federal charges involving his threats to a St. Charles County judge, his daughter, two members of the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and an employee of the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department.
With his plea last October, Alexander Long admitted sending threats through Facebook and the mail. Long threatened to rape, stab, and beat the judge’s daughter, and to kill the other victims because of their involvement in the investigation of those threats.
ALEXANDER LONG pled guilty in October to one felony count of interstate transmission containing a threat and two felony counts of mailing threatening communications. He appeared today for sentencing before United States District Judge Carol E. Jackson.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department. Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Roy handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
