St. Charles Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Child Pornography Charges

ST. LOUIS—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Jason Lee Hunt pled guilty to charges of receipt and possession of child pornography for his activities between May and September 2009.

Hunt, 26, formerly of Washington, Missouri, now residing in St. Charles, Missouri, pled guilty to one felony count of receipt of child pornography and one felony count of possession of child pornography before United States District Judge Audrey Fleissig.

Receipt carries a penalty range of five to 20 years in prison and/or a fine up to $250,000; possession carries a maximum of 10 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. Sentencing has been set for March 1, 2011.

This case was investigated by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Regional Computer Crimes Education and Enforcement Group and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Rob Livergood is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
