Alton Man Sentenced for Possession and Distribution of Cocaine Base

A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on June 18, 2010, TOMMIE LEE HILL-BURCH, age 26, of Alton, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois. HILL-BURCH was sentenced to 84 months’ imprisonment, four years of supervised release, fined $400, and ordered to pay a $400 special assessment.

HILL-BURCH had previously pleaded guilty on March 5, 2010, to one count of attempted possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and three counts of distribution of cocaine base.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Wood River Police Department, and the Alton Police Department.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald Boyce.
