Why: The FBI is teaming up with the BART Police Department and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a joint tactical training exercise at the Millbrae BART Station on Thursday, February 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Over the last seven years, the FBI has organized this joint exercise. This is the second year that it will take place at a BART station. This training helps ensure common tactics for the participating Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams by using skill-building exercises and problem-solving scenarios.

Journalists are invited to interview Assistant Special Agent in Charge Tom Ravenelle, Supervisory Special Agent Jack Bennett, and other law enforcement officials at 11:00 a.m. at Millbrae Station on the concourse level. Due to restrictions on photography and videography of the exercise, journalists are encouraged to make use of the media availability.

Media parking will be available along South Exit Road on the east (bay) side.
