FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Comerica Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown person, believed to be a female, responsible for robbing the Comerica Bank branch located at 3361 Rosecrans Street, Suite 9A in San Diego, California, on Monday, July 14, 2014.

On Monday, July 14, 2014, at approximately 2:49 p.m., an unknown person, believed to be a female and who threatened to be armed with a bomb, robbed the Comerica Bank branch located at 3361 Rosecrans Street, Suite 9A in San Diego, California.

At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and approached the victim teller. The robber handed the teller a folded piece of paper. The teller unfolded the piece of paper and read the writing on the paper. The piece of paper turned out to be a demand note. The note demanded a specific amount of money and threatened that the robber was armed with a bomb. The teller provided the robber with a sum of money and then watched the robber exit the bank. No weapon was observed and no injuries reported.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Female
  • Race: Hispanic/Middle Eastern
  • Age: 20 to 30 years old
  • Height: Approximately 5’2” to 5’4” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 120 to 140 pounds
  • Build: Medium
  • Other: Slender nose
  • Clothing: Long, multi-colored scarf covering head and neck; sunglasses with large round dark lenses; dark, long-sleeved sweater; and long black skirt
