FBI and Oceanside Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Union Bank Robber

The FBI and Oceanside Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male who attempted to rob the Union Bank located inside the Ralph’s Supermarket at 101 Old Grove Road in Oceanside, California, on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at approximately 6:35 p.m. a male of unknown race robbed the Union Bank located inside the Ralph’s Supermarket at 101 Old Grove Road in Oceanside, California, The robber arrived on a motorcycle, believed to be a blue Yamaha R6. He parked his motorcycle on the sidewalk outside the front entrance of the grocery store. Once inside he approached the teller and displayed a gun. After receiving a sum of money, the robber fled on his motorcycle.

The robber wore a full-face motorcycle helmet during the entire robbery. The helmet was black and white with a skull design. The skull design is believed to be the logo for the punk rock band named “Misfits.” The robber also wore a black “Fox” brand motorcycle jacket and carried a backpack.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Complexion: Unknown
  • Height: 5’10” to 6’ tall
  • Age: Unknown
  • Eyes: Unknown
  • Clothing: Black and white motorcycle helmet with skull design, black motorcycle jacket, backpack
  • Vehicle: Possibly Yamaha R6 motorcycle, blue
