FBI and La Mesa Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify U.S. Bank Robber

The FBI and La Mesa Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the U.S. Bank, located at 3681 Avocado Boulevard, La Mesa, California, on Saturday, April 19, 2014.

On Saturday, April 19, 2014, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the U.S. Bank branch located at 3681 Avocado Boulevard in La Mesa, California, was robbed by an unknown male using a demand note. The note threatened the robber was armed with a weapon and demanded money. After receiving a sum of money, the robber exited the bank and fled in an unknown direction. No weapon was displayed and no injuries reported. Witnesses believe the robber was wearing a brown shoulder length wig and tan/bronze facial makeup.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Age: Mid-30s
  • Height: Approximately 5’9” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 160 pounds
  • Hair: Brown, shoulder-length wig parted in middle
  • Clothing: Blue flannel plaid jacket, glasses, and possibly used tan/bronze colored makeup
