FBI and Carlsbad Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify U.S. Bank Robber

The FBI and Carlsbad Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the U.S. Bank branch located at 2520 El Camino Real in Carlsbad, California, on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at approximately 2:48 p.m., the U.S. Bank branch located at 2520 El Camino Real in Carlsbad, California, was robbed by an unknown male using a demand note.

At the time of the robbery, the unknown male entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and presented a threatening demand note for cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, the robber exited the bank.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Hair: Shaved bald
  • Height: Approximately 6’2” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 200 pounds
  • Build: Medium
  • Age: Early 40s
  • Clothing: Black Kangol-style hat, glasses, dark shirt, and pants
