FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify North Island Credit Union Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the North Island Credit Union located at 225 Broadway, San Diego, California, on Friday, September 6, 2013.

On Friday, September 6, 2013, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the North Island Credit Union located at 225 Broadway, San Diego, California, was robbed by an unknown male using a demand note. At the time of the robbery, the robber walked into the bank and approached an open teller station. The robber removed his wallet from his pants pocket and opened it in front of the teller. The robber displayed a demand note to the teller demanding money and indicating the robber was armed with a gun. After receiving a sum of money, the robber walked out the east doors of the bank. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Black
  • Height: Approximately 6’2” tall
  • Build: Medium
  • Hair: Beard
  • Other: Missing top teeth
  • Age: Late 50s Clothing:
  • Gray baseball cap, black-framed sunglasses, black T-shirt, dark-colored jeans, and white tennis shoes
