FBI and Escondido Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify U.S. Bank Robber

The FBI and Escondido Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male responsible for robbing the U.S. Bank branch located at 125 N. Broadway in Escondido, California, on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at approximately 9:40 a.m., an unknown male robbed the U.S. Bank branch located at 125 N. Broadway in Escondido, California. According to witnesses, the robber left a demand note but did not have a weapon. The robber thanked the teller for the cash and told another witness to have a nice day. The robber entered the bank wearing a wide-brim blue visor.

The robber left on foot with no vehicle visible and unknown direction of travel.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Black; medium complexion
  • Age: Mid-50s
  • Height: Approximately 6’0” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 180-200 lbs.
  • Build: Average
  • Clothing: Wide-brimmed blue visor, blue shirt, blue jeans
  • Tattoos: None visible
  • Weapon: None visible
