Robbery of Chase Bank Branch in Oceanside
FBI and Oceanside Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Suspect

The FBI and Oceanside Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown man who attempted to rob the Chase Bank located at 615 College Boulevard in, Oceanside, California on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

On Saturday, May 19 2012, at approximately 12:12 p.m., the Chase Bank located at 615 College Boulevard in Oceanside, California was the scene of an attempted robbery by an unknown male. At the time of the attempted robbery, the robber approached the victim teller and passed the teller a demand note under the bandit barriers. The teller immediately closed and locked her drawer and stepped away from the counter. The teller reported the incident to bank management. Approximately 30 seconds later, the robber turned around and walked out of the bank without any money. No weapon was observed and no injuries reported.

Prior to the robbery, a witness observed the robber exit a late-model, burgundy-colored, four-door sedan driven by a white female adult with brown, curly hair.

Height: Approximately 6’0” – 6’4” tall
Build: Thin
Hair: Dark
Eyes: Unknown
Clothing: Black, long-sleeved hooded sweatshirt with “FLIP” printed on front, gray pants, and black shoes
