FBI and San Diego Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Chase Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Chase Bank, 3609 Midway Drive, San Diego, California, on Saturday, December 31, 2011.

On Saturday, December 31 2011, at approximately 3:19 p.m., the Chase Bank, 3609 Midway Drive, San Diego, California was robbed by an unknown male using a demand note. The robber walked into the bank carrying a white plastic bag in his hand. The robber approached the teller counter and presented a demand note for cash. The robber threatened to have an explosive device on his person. The teller complied with the robber’s demands and provided him with a sum of money. The robber walked out of the bank headed southbound through the parking lot, then eastbound on Kemper Street. The robber was wearing a white construction hat and dust mask. No injuries were reported and no weapon observed.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: White
Age: Approximately 30 years old
Height: Approximately 5’6” to 5’10” tall
Weight: Approximately 170 lbs.
Build: Medium
Eyes: Unknown
Hair/Coloring: Brown hair worn in a ponytail; light beard with stubble.
Clothing: White construction hardhat, black framed sunglasses with black lenses, white dust mask, dark-colored long sleeve shirt, black fingerless glove on right hand, blue jeans, black shoes, carried a white bag containing a cell phone and small grey box
