FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 9360 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego, California, on Saturday, December 29, 2012.

On Saturday, December 29, 2012, at approximately 10:44 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 9360 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego, California, was robbed by an unknown male using a demand note. At the time of the robbery, the robber walked up to the teller counter and presented a demand note for cash. The teller complied with the demand note and provided the robber a sum of money. The robber was last seen in a dark sedan possibly a Honda or Toyota with an out of state license plate.

The robber is described as follows:

  • Race: Hispanic
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Late 40s to early 50s
  • Height: Approximately 5’7” to 5’8” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 180 pounds
  • Build: Husky
  • Hair: Graying beard and mustache
  • Clothing: Red “USC” baseball cap; rectangular-shaped glasses; brown, hooded sweatshirt; black polo shirt; San Diego Chargers lanyard; black pants; and black dress shoes
