Keith Slotter, Special Agent in Charge of the San Diego FBI office announces the arrest of Mary Elizabeth Saber, age 39, of San Diego, California.

Saber was arrested by San Diego Police Detectives and Officers at approximately 9:30 a.m. today, in the vicinity of the 3900 block of Mount Everest. Saber was taken into custody without incident.

Saber was one of 34 defendants previously charged in a federal complaint with violating federal drug charges specifically, Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1), 846, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

The charges stem from a two-year investigation conducted by the FBI’s Violent Crime Gang Task Force. The investigation focused on the methamphetamine trafficking and violent crimes committed by the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (San Diego Charter) and their criminal partners

Saber has been booked into the San Diego Sheriff’s Vista Detention Facility, Vista, California. Saber is expected to appear before a U.S. Magistrate Judge, on or about Thursday, October 20, 2011.

An arrest itself is not evidence that the defendant committed crimes charged. The defendant is presumed innocent until the government meets its burden in court of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
