FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify the Individuals Responsible for Robbing a San Marcos Bank

The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown males responsible for robbing a Mission Federal Credit Union yesterday.

On Thursday, April 29, 2010, at approximately 12:05 p.m., two black males entered the Mission Federal Credit Union, located at 117 S. Las Posas Road, in San Marcos, California. The men simultaneously approached the only two tellers on duty. Both tellers thought the suspects were security guards based on their clothing. One of the robbers was even wearing a jacket that appeared to have security guard patches on the sleeves. Each suspect tossed a demand note in front of their respective teller and then made oral demands for cash. The two notes contained identical language. Though no weapon was seen, the tellers were threatened. The robbers left together and were last seen walking north along Las Posas Road along the exterior of the bank branch.

Witnesses describe the men as follows:

Suspect #1

Sex: Male
Race: Black
Age: Late 20s to 30 years old
Height: 5’8” to 6’
Build: Heavy set
Clothing: Dark blue heavy jacket with patches on each arm, dark beanie cap, dark pants, and white gloves.

Suspect #2:

Sex: Male
Race: Black
Age: Mid 20s
Height: 6’ to 6’2”
Build: Heavy
Clothing: Dark blue or black jacket (possibly a windbreaker) worn over a light gray shirt with vertical stripes, light gray sweatpants and white gloves. He may have had a slight mustache and goatee.
