FBI and San Diego Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Man Who Attempted to Rob Bank of America Branch

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male who attempted to rob the Bank of America branch, located at 6801 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, California, on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
On October 13, 2010, at approximately 12:10 p.m., an unknown male attempted to rob the Bank of America branch located at 6801 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, California.
At the time of the robbery, the unknown male stood in front of a teller station and slid a demand note under the bullet-resistant glass, keeping his right hand on the note. The note was written on a 3” by 5” piece of white paper. The note threatened that the robber had a weapon even though no weapon was displayed. The victim teller backed away from the teller station at which time the robber fled the bank without receiving any money.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:
- Sex: Male
- Race: Black
- Age: Mid to late 20’s
- Height: 5”5” - 5’8” tall
- Weight: Approximately 150 lbs.
- Build: Average
- Clothing: Black baseball cap, khaki colored button-down, short sleeve shirt with unidentified small print, dark-colored pants.
- Other: Low raspy voice
