FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance to Identify US Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the US Bank, 1074 North El Camino Real, Encinitas, California, on September 24, 2010.

On Friday, September 24, 2010, at approximately 2:11 p.m. the US Bank, located at 1074 North El Camino Real, Encinitas, California was robbed by an unknown male, hereinafter referred to as the robber. At the time of the robbery, the robber walked into the bank and vaulted the teller counter. The robber brandished a semi-automatic pistol threatening the bank employees. The robber verbally demanded money from three tellers and received money from all three. After receiving money from the tellers, he vaulted back over the counter and ran out of the bank. The robber was last seen in the vicinity of Leucadia Boulevard.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Race: White
Age: Approximately 30 - 40 years old
Height: 5”8” - 6’0” tall
Weight: Approximately 170 lbs. - 190 lbs.
Build: Average
Hair: Dark short hair
Clothing: Dark blue baseball cap, white dust or painters mask, dark wrap-around sunglasses, long-sleeve collared and buttoned flannel shirt, khaki pants, and black skater shoes
Weapon: Silver colored semi-automatic pistol
